Co-worker just got this a couple weeks ago. First one I have seen with the wing (factory option) on the back.

Kinja'd!!!

I know some here may not like the looks of the new Civic, but this is a beautiful shade of blue and the black accents work really well with it imo.

Kinja'd!!!

It is also the only 4 door I have seen so far with a leather interior.

That’s hideous.

I like the blue. The car itself is overstyled imho.

I want to kick all of those gigantic fake vents in.

It’s not for everybody, I will agree on that.

I can’t remember what color blue it is called, but kudos to Honda for doing it.

Seems that way. This is the only one I have seen around here that has those bumpers and the wing.

Blue and black almost always go well together. The looks are polarizing though for sure.

it bugs me how similar the front and rear bumper appear

I actually really like it, especially compared to the previous gen. The fake vents are a bit much in the rear, but meh. The hatch version is so much better looking than the sedan.

I like the color combo, but I just cannot get with the styling. I don’t think that there is an uglier new car available in the US.

The last gen Civic was bland garbage imo. I applaud Honda for at least making the styling on the new ones somewhat interesting.

I think Mitsubishi Mirage G4 would like a word with you on that.

Disagree, the prius is ugly by default. This civic is trying extra hard to be ugly, or maybe its trying extra hard to be cool. Either way it just comes out terrible.

lol that fat car with little tiny wheels? It is terrible, but I still think this is worse as far as outright ugly goes.

I saw a sedan in that same color this morning. It is a nice shade of blue, but the rest...ugh.

Forgot about the Prius. Good God that thing is atrocious. I think for this car, Honda is trying to be cool and hip again. It may not have worked, but at least it isn’t bland I guess.

I would never own one because I despise any CVT transmission on the market. Like I mentioned in another reply, it is definitely a polarizing look.

You can get it with a 6 speed manual. that said the cvt in my sisters hrv isn’t bad

The CVT in my wife’s Impreza doesn’t really bother me.

I think blacking out the chrome on the front does improve the looks somewhat. Things would be helped further by blacking out the chrome window trim. The wing is pretty stupid looking for a “regular” version. The chunky bits along the bottom of the bumpers seem too big when there are no side skirts.

The LX and Sport offer the manual, but his is either the EX or EX-L Navi and neither of those offer a manual. I believe you should be able to have a manual across the board, but that’s just me. I drove a new Civic right when they were first sent to dealer lots and wasn’t real impressed with the CVT. Again, just my opinion though. I’ve just never been a fan of them.

Ok, I did not know Subaru had a CVT. May have to check that out then to form a better opinion.

I agree. Don’t mix black and chrome. Either have one or the other. The wing is ricey and I do agree if you are going to have an aggressive looking front and rear bumper they should have side skirts to finish out the look.

I mean, our car is slow, but the CVT does a pretty good job of keeping the motor in its rev range in situations where you have to do steady acceleration for a while, like going up an on-ramp or pulling away from a traffic light on a 2-lane back road highway.

I will say though, on my car I have the blacked out window trim but I don’t mind the chrome kidney grilles.

I think BMWs are the exception to the rule. Kidney grille surrounds should almost always be chrome, even if everything else is black

I don’t mind the chrome on the kidney grilles since it is very minimal, but I do like that mine are all black. I do wish I had the facelift headlights like yours does, though.

I still don’t think of it as a hatch. It’s a lift back like the old Mazda 6 or Elantra

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but I wish this was the standard “sedan” and they made a rounded hatchback
